GRADE SIX Greetings from the Sixth Grade! We are happy in our new home-room, the one formerly occupied by the third grade. It is directly across from the Art Room. Our group numbers twenty-six. There are eighteen girls and eight boys. Our interests have been varied. We are enjoying Mr. Cretekos on Wednesdays when he assists us with our science problems. Mrs. Buchholz has helped us to understand the value of good health habits. At least half of our group are taking music lessons. A particular problem in Art that interested us was the Indian blanket design. We are grateful for the privilege of borrowing books from the high school library. This has helped us to improve our reading. On November 25 we presented an assembly program with the theme of Thanksgiving. This was followed by a movie, God»s Wonders in Our Own Backyard. The following evening we repeated the program for the P. T. A. We are having a busy year. In addition to our regular work we are learning the Importance of working quietly, cooperating, and sharing responsibilities. GRADE SEVEN The Seventh Grade has a very efficient group of officers with Larry Hallett as president, Gary Plaisted as vice president, Cheryl Buchholz as secretary, and Kenneth Kear as treasurer. Prances Nesbit and Larry Hallett were chosen to be representatives on the Student Council. Alice Perkins and Danny Deming were elected to be represent- atives in the Athletic Association. Mrs. Green Is the class advisor. At the beginning of school, we had twenty-four students in the class, but Dahl Plynn moved away leaving twenty-three at present. Kenneth Kear and Paul Smith were selected to serve as managers of the basketball team. GRADE EIGHT When we started school in September, we had a group of twenty- nine. We welcomed James Punch from Maine. David Chamberlain, Harry Rhodes, and Steve Golish have left our grade making a total of twenty- seven students at present. We elected our officers as following: President - Bob Dibble, Vice President - Larry Pritchard, Secretary - Bonnie Phillips, Treas- urer - Elton Harris, Student Council Representatives - Marjorie Bledsoe and Bob Dibble, Athletic Association Representatives - Judy Buchholz and Prank Payne. We chose Mr. Strever as our class advisor. We had a class party November 8, when we went to Wellsville to the skating rink. Mr. Strever drove the bus. We studied the following subjects the first semester: General Music, Citizenship Education, Math, Gym, English, and Science. 26 This entire page is sponsored by MINGES DAIRY
