OUR ARMY This group represents our total student body in Senior high school. Although this group is small in number as were many battalions during the war, they are looking forward to future achievements as the battalions did to their future battles. 11

CLASS HISTORY Looking back over the years it seems as if it were only yesterday that we walked into the old school-house to start school life. Out of the original twenty-five first graders, only ten remain. They are: Carole Empson, Marian Hallett, Shaun Baker, Richard Dibble, William Loughlin, Mary Slack, Ralph Baham, Richard Buchholz, Lois Ordway, and Leah Rear. We spent second grade in the building that is now Waite’s Garage. Marjorie Leach left us and Lewis Slack, Helen Flynn, and the Williamson brothers joined us. Third grade classes were held in the building which today is George Probasco’s house. Charlotte Hollabaugh moved away and Caroljean Waite left our class. This year Leonard Waite was added to our group. We spent fourth grade back in our old first grade room. We were joined by Gary Empson, Lloyd Plaisted, and John Allen. We lost Jack Lewis. Our fifth and sixth grades were held in the new school building. During fifth grade we lost Eugene Robbins and the Williamson brothers. James Matteson joined us in sixth grade but left us in the seventh. Seventh through tenth grades were spent in the old school building. Thomas Ray and Ronald Seger left us. Erma McAllister became a member of our class. Our Freshman year brought many new privileges but also started to settle us down. We held a box social in the school gym and a skating party at Wellsville. Patricia Fay, Claudine Jones, Junior Stocum, and Gordon Smith left us at the end of our Freshman year. Robert Wildman and James Ellison were now included in our class, roll. In our Sophomore year we lost David Slack and Leonard Waite. Patricia Nesbit and Clair Golish were new members. We held a Sophomore Hop which proved to be very profitable. We also sponsored another dance. We spent the last two years of high school back in the new school building in the new high school annex first used in 1956. We lost John Allen and Patricia Nesbit in our Junior year. We held the annual Junior Prom and for the first time a Junior Play, Finders Creepers. Erma McAllister left us to be married during our Senior year. Thus concluded are 12 years of school at W.C.S. which we leave with heavy hearts.
