DEDICATION Whitesville Central School 1956 Dear Mom and Dad: Well, here we are Seniora I It has been a long time coming, hasn’t it? Do you remember how hard it was to get us started to school only a few years ago? We didn’t want to go because there wasn’t any future in it. However, we admit that you were right. Mom and Dad, and we thank you so much. We remember, too, the love and care we got when we were little tykes—how we could run to you. Mom, and plead our cause with a tear-streaked face; how you were always ready. Dad, when we needed you. We thank you so much. Do you remember. Mom, the times we fell and bumped ourselves and you kissed us and made us well?” Dad, remember the times that you said yesl and we said no I We remember—it hurts yet. Still our growth wasn’t seriously retarded, was it? Then too, we remember the picnics, the drives, and the Christmases that we have had together, and we thank you so much. And Mom and Dad, remember the times that we got in trouble for shooting the neighbor’s cat with our B.B. guns, the time we came home from ice skating half frozen because we fell through the ice, and that first window we broke? We remember how you helped us and stood behind us and we thank you so much. Then came the first year in high school and our first class party, remember them? We dot Remember the first time we sang in the church choir? Remember how you helped us with our math problems, even if we didn’t get them right, and how we would leave our books at school on purpose? We remember how you help- ed us and we thank you so much. Now, Mom and Dad, we have reached our first goal. We’re Seniors. Now we are almost on our own. We have had your guidance, your help, and your tears • You shaped us into people you can be proud of, you pushed us when we balked, and you pulled us back when we went too far. We thank you so much. To you. Mom and Dad, we dedicate this Wycenian • To us it shall ever be a token of the love and care you had for us. May It bring to you some of the feelings that we have tried to express, Let it carry to you our thanks, our love, our admiration, our hopes, and our ideals.
