The Panthers had little trouble stopping the Smaller boys- The biggest upset in several years occurred in the Semifinal Game of the Lebanon Sectional as the Perry Central Midgets handed the vaunted Panthers a 33 to 32 trimming. It was on unusually poor showing by the Panthers as they failed to run like they usually do. The Lebanon Tigers took a thriller from the Thorntown five L3 to hl to enter the finals against the Central Midgets. The Central boys were no match for the speedy Tiger five and they took a O to 30 trounsing. It was the Tigers first Sectional Crown since 19 3 when the went to the State finals only to lose to the Fort Wayne Central Tigers E5 to 140. So the Tigers earned the right to meet the Jefferson Broncos in the LaFayette Regional.
