Hy life, howeverQ as well as yours has been saddened by the loss of' other former students whose lives have been sacri- ficed on foreign battle-fields. My prayer to the Giver of all good and perfect gifts is that such will not be your fate, and that in the years to come my association with each of you will be just as pleasant and profitable. I know that you have been loyal and true to me and to the other teachers and to each other. You have done your best, I am sure, to make good in your school work, to prepare for the days to come when a good character and a trained mind will be invaluable in assisting you to reach the goal you have planned for. May you surmount all obstacles in the future and live a life of real worth to yourself, to your country, and to your Heavenly Father.
