His guidance and understanding at all times have been, and still are appreciated far beyond what mere words can explain. FIIHEWUBII This book has been compiled with but one pur- pose - to bring to the students of WCS a pleasant remembrance of the fun and joy they had in 1951. Especially to the Seniors, this annual should be- come their yearbook -a treasure in the years to come, bringing to them recollections of their high school days. It is the hope ofthe editors ofthe 1951 edition of the Che-Ga-Qual-Ka that this annual maintains the high standard established by the editors of past years and that it meets with the approval of the Seniors and the student body. WHAT lllllifi THE FUTURE HIILII? No one knows the answer to this important question, but we do know that the outlook is not too bright. The present day threat to our American democracy is indeed challeng- ing to the Senior Class of l95l. It is the responsibility ol' each member of this class, in appreciation of the privilege of having lived in America, to work to the utmost of his ability to help save our democracy from the evils ol' the world. By making good choices and accepting responsibil- ity in his own Held, and by being cooperative and faithful at all times, each senior will have reached the first step- ping stone on the road to freedom, happiness, and democ- racy. The Class of '51 entered VVhitesboro Central School to learn. Now, they shall go forth to serve. Serve, - seniors, do serve while you can. Serve to make America really a safe and secure countryg then serve to keep it sale and secure. l2l '
