ELEYATOR Donald Scott recently acquired the Treaty Elevator and states that he will continue to give White's the sane good service on coal shipents that they are accustmed to Donald has also agreed to stand guard at the coal car while the driver makes the re turn trip Previous to this time Donald had been teaching History in Podunk College at College Corners ACREE STARS FOR GLOBETRUTTERS Robert Acree, former White's ace, is just in the middle of a very praising career with the Harlem Globetrotters, a professional basketball organization Bob 'Goose' Acree was signed up early in 1956 when Goose Tatum walked out on his contract Acree has consistently been the Trotters best scorer and greatest showman His latest feat to amuse the audiences is to make a free throw while sitting cross legged with his back to the basket and both hands tied behind his THOMAS OPENS SUPER PHARMACY Warren Gale Thema, a 1955 graduate of White' High School, recently opened a new super pharmacy nextdoor to Navy Pier in Chicago The Pharmacy is built on barrels and floats in Lake Michigan Warren says, 'If I can't sell anything else, I can sell sea'sick medicine As a sideline, Warren sells sea shells by the seashore and peddles paint to the pale people of the Windy City PASQ,UALE'S SPAGHE.'I'I'I SHOPPE REOPENS Pasquale Luigi Miranonti QPaul Lewis to those of us who knew him at White'sD has reopened his restaurant after spaghetti and meat balls He is well qualified to speak for the latter Paul begun his restaurant career by working in the kitchen He said he continued because he was always in hot water anyway PROFESSOR HARROLD CREDITED WITH ANOTHER FIRST Professor Ralph Harrold was credited with another first by the scientific world yesterday Ralph has been working feverishly in his laboratory at Purdue University and just yesterday the President's Office released the news that Prof Harrold has invented a horseless carraige that is to shake the world Other dis corveries to his credit are the law of gravity for was it gravyj, the only machine in the world that will scratch your back, catch mice, and peel potatoes at the same time PHELPS PICKERS WIN MONTGOMERY CO FOOTBALL TITLE Robert 'Butcher Phelps another 1955 graduate of White's High is now the manager for the New Ross Pickers, a semi professional football team Phelps team won the Montganery Co title recently be defeating Dogpatch, Lil Abner and all Phelps got his experience in football by acting as Manager fstudent, that is, for the White's Penguins The nickname Butcher came from his winter occupation as barber Bob does not keep mirrors in his barber shop and uses a quick healing oinment to cover up his work That's all the alxmni news 'till next year 8 . s being closed for three weeks for re-decorations.
