RONALD GREEN RONALD EISON The 1955 Wolverines won the District Championship for the sixth straight year, The Wolverines ad- vanced to the semi-finals of the up- per-state playoffs before losing to Abbeville. The season started with a loss to Clinton by the score of 12 to O! The following week the Wolverines played their arch rivals, Fort Mill. This time the Wolverines came through with an impressive 13 to 0 victory. Then came a long trip to Charleston for a game with Bishop England High. Although the Wol- vs verines were defeated they put up a great fight before the game end- ed with the Catholics on top 31 to 20! P kN ax 1 CLAUDE MONTJOY ATLEE BROWN After three games away from home the Wolverines played Pros- perity and defeated them 31 to 6! The following week proved to be another good one as the Wolverines defeated Ford 19 to O. A trip to Lockhart proved successful as the Wolverines won 12 to 0. Then came a game with Newberry, whom the Wolverines defeated 12 to 6. The game with Blacksburg proved to be an exciting one with Blacksburg winning 13 to 8. However, Blacks- burg fortified the game to Whitmire and this gave them the District. The next week the Wolverines defeated Ninety Six, 12 to 6. After a loss to Kershaw the Wolverines played Ab- beville for the upper-state semifi- nals. Abbeville defeated the Wol- verines 25 to 6!
