Palmetto Boys' State is held at the South Carolina Area Trade School at Columbiag and Girls' State, at the University ol South Carolina. While at these model states, the boys and girls study city, county, and state government. To become better acquainted with the ditterent phases ot government, the Staters elect otticials from their own groups and operate their own government. 38
