Mr, Amstutz is now serving in his fourth year at Whiteman as head guidance counselor. After this amount of time he gets to know the students here pretty well. Being in charge of the guidance program presents more than just everyday problems. He is responsible for high school scheduling of our ninth graders, and he must work closely with the teachers on arrang- ing the best program for each student. Any 4701225 XpdI20Q0f guzin ce yjroyram Mr. King is in hislfirst year of counseling after having taught general business only, He is sharing the responsibility of counseling stu- dents. The expanded guidance program was begun because of the need and the North Cen- tral requirement for additional counselors. Mr. King has general business classes in the morning, and all afternoon he is availa- ble to answer any questions and help solve student problems.

He is also our athletic director and student council sponsor. His help when we needed school spirit is ob- vious: he's always here when needed. If that is not enough, you will also discov that Mis, McFarland has an active interest il developing concern in young people for the aged and ill.
