Each year the sororities and other organizations in Whiteland send a junior girl to Girls' State and a junior boy to Boys' State at Indiana University for a week. They are chosen on the basis of scholar- ship and personality. llere, they have a Chance to study how our government works by actual opera- tion throngh election of their own state and county officials who serve during the week. This is to help our students 'to bemore eivie minded and to help prepare them for amore understanding, future as far as our government is concerned.
