In the weeks that followed, the Tigers were named champions of West Ten- nessee and tracll kings of the state by defeating Knoxville High and Kingsport. Baseball: Whitehaven's baseball team . . . was built around Captain Johnny Wallace, a very promising and hard-working catcher.
