The person who guided our golf team to a state victory in '56 and '57 and led them to three regional titles also has guided the minds and characters of not only studenis of shorthand, civics, economics, science, bookkeeping, and world history but of most all of us who have gone through school here in the last seven years. After we members of the class of '59 leave WHS and time fades, the happy memories of high school days, and we forget the jokes about our teacher who graduated in ought three and whose S3 a week salary we all laughed about, we'l1 not forget the principles which we learned from this fine teacher and friend. Perhaps we'1l come back to Whitehall and visit the Whitelake Golf Course, where he took over as manager in the string of 1959, We're sure we' find he's as well liked and as much of a success there as he was at our school.
