Emmaus gave the Zephyrs a scare when it capitalized on two Whitehall fumbles to take a 14-0 first quarter lead. The gridders battled back the second period with Cole's one-yard dive and Nemeth’s placement to cut the margin in half. Ruch’s interception then set up a six-play drive that ended with a Zicgenfuss one-yard plunge. Cole ran for the two-point conversion and Whitehall’s first lead of the day. After the Hornets turned over the ball on downs, Ziegenfuss capped off the contest with his 92-yard counter-dive.
