With the purchase of new instruments, the massed band. which comprises the Junior Band and the XVhitehall Band numbers 75. The Junior Band has only recently been organized to give players experience who eventually will become 'lll0llllJ81'S of the High School Band. The Iligh School Baud has appeared at all home football games and has played for several parades and concerts. Fred Mantz is student leader and Neal Brown is Drum Major of this organization. We strive to maintain a balance of the four groups of instruments namely-string, reed, brass. and percussion. The boys. after dropping il few very close games found their stride in the lust home game and smashed out an victory over the Lehighton Indians. The renin had at new experieiiee playing Stroudsburg in a night game in the mud. This was the first Whitehall team to participate in a night contest.
