There will probably be memories of friends, good times, disappointments, hard work, and all the things that made up these important years of our lives. Ever present in our high school memories will be you, the faculty. We will never forget your Willingness to help, to guide, and to lead us. VARSITY FOOTBALL Quarterback Ross Dean was the spark for this years varsity team with backfield support by Alex Spooner. Bay fans saw Ross power his way to two 95-yard touchdowns and watched Spooner tear the turf with several fine runs until a late season injury kept him from action. Right tackle Steve French and Dean were honored with all conference berths. Inexperience was probably the greatest single factor that contributed to the losing season, as the Dukes fell prey to seven conference foes, winning a single game to Greendale. Coach Marsh Rieboldt, in his first year as head varsity coach, cited Bruce Humke as the most improved player and mentioned Dick Galineau as a standout on the defensive team. Supporters of the Blue and Grey saw the varsity eleven play consistently fine ball and showed their appreciation by making Bay attendance second in the conference. Coach Rieboldt expects a stronger core next year, as twelve underclassmen earned letters as opposed to the four returnees of last year.
