Education to me means growth. To you, it means growth, development, adventure, and romance. You are going through a period of prepara- tion in the greatest age known to man. The important thing is to meet the challenge of this atomic age. You have been most cooperative. You are con- vincing all of us that you are instrumental in the building of a magnificent educational program which is a part of the American way of life. I want to take this opportunity to tell you, that in my opinion, only the best is good enough for you. Your friend, H. P. Clemons 15, x. --',... .w A , .f 1 , 1 -. ,. ..,.v QM: fzflglfyddf W. NM SNOD GRASS To Whiteface High School Seniors, '48: You have successfully completed a milestone along the Highway of Life. The gate is open to you to a great future. The application of knowledge to the use of the elements of nature has produced marvelous wonders to meet our necessities and also beyond, to supply facilities that make our life more pleasant, agreeable and happy. But this program is young. You will be given many opportunities to make further contributions. Keep your eyes and ears alert for the Uknockn of op- portunity and do your best. We educate ourselves, not only for our own gain, but also for the better- ment of society as a group. We should constantly strive to make our Commun- ity, our State, our Nation, our World a better place in which to live. New ideas and new inventions will change the customs and habits of people. We should guide these changes toward advancement of society along the avenues of Friendship and Good Will among peoples of the Earth. I hope that we may continue our friendship and that in the years ahead you may experience good fortune, good health, and greatest happiness. Sincerely yours, . WW W. W.
