1981-1982 From October 12-16, Spirit Week was a smash. Monday, high school students dressed up as little boys and little girls as they remembered how their parents once dressed them. Tuesday brought peo- ple right from “the sack”, only to have awakened in their PJ’s while others thought dressing as an original Artesian proved more suitable. When Wednesday arrived everyone dressed in whatever they could find hidden in the hack of their par- ents’ closet or at Salvation Army and came to school as punk dudes. Thursday came a new trend of fro’s, bows, hats, and ties. Friday was the tradi- tional 50’s day, with combined lunch and Sock hop. The Sock hop in the gym brought the 50’s alive once again. Oh. we’re finally discovered. A birthday hug for Greggy! We are fwends fwoever. What a mistake!-This is our Annual Staff? 15

Not Pictured- Gina Hubbard and Eric Robertson. Student Council We Are All In Our Places With Bright Shiny Faces This was the first year for White River to be included in the Nisqually League. Showing their leadership qua- lities, the Student Council was able to help their new league begin an Inter- High program. Our A.S.B. officers welcomed Mr. Heubner as their new advisor. An- other new twist was added when the office of secretary treasurer became two separate offices. Activities throughout the year in- cluded the Homecoming dance, a sen- ior citizen’s dance, bingo, and many other fund raisers, as well as decisions, decisions, decisions.
