SUPERINTENDENT KEITH LAWS. DIRECTOR OE CURRICULUM The 1980-81 school year has brought continued growth in the lower grades and a leveling off in high school enroll- ment at about 540 students. Our district continues to enjoy excel- lent support by our community as evi- denced by the passage of a two-year maintenance and operations levy in the spring of 1980. This support and the State Legislature's attempt to improve funding of schools has helped add sta- bility to our program. This year's team was a little of a mystery. They had some experienced people like Bob Baker in the javelin. Tom Wytko in the discus. Don Smith in the hurdles. Steve Em- ery in the triple jump and Carl Hirschel in the 200. But they also had some inexperienced people, who performed well. After many hours of layouts, copy, photog- raphy. and just plain old fun, the staff, Mrs. Jones and I hope this book will bring back as many memo- ries to you as I know it will bring to me. It was especially put together for you. the students and staff of W.R.H.S. so twenty-five years from now you can look back at the events which happened at this school and remember all of them as great times in your life. At this time I would like to express a very special thanks to the two most important people in my life, my parents. I love them very much and without their support and love, I would never had been able to be a part of putting this book together. To everyone at W.R.t have alot of fun and always strive for the best in life. Set your goals and never say die until you have reached them. Farewell my friends because I have known you long I’ve gotten the feeling here that I belong To you my friends though this moment must mean good-bye I will keep these memories until I die With you my friends we've reached out to touch I know my feelings changed and I’ve learned so much For you my friends this note special of special care I’ve felt this feeling from people here from everywhere From you my friends I’ll be so near yet I'll be so far To you my friends We’ve talked but not asked why To you my friends the time has come for me to say goodbye Flere is the wonderfully talented staff that put this book together especially for you. Well what can ya say about this lady? She is abso- lutely great! I owe her alot and so do you for making the existence of this book possible.
