@04n4 tectce tte tt Valedictorian Sarah Gillis Salutatorian Frances Honsowetz Sarah Gillis, valedictorian, has rightly earned this honor by maintaining a high grade point average throughout her high school years. In her freshman and sophomore years she was active in G.A.A., Girls’ Club, and Honor Society. In her junior year she represented her class in Student Council, along with other activities. When she reached her senior year, she was elected class secretary, and Honor Society president. Sarah was a member of Torch with a 3.7 average. Frances Lynn Honsowetz, salutatorian, has participated in many activities during her high school years. She was active in Girls’ Club, Pep Club, French Club, and was in Honor Society throughout her high school years. She also participated in chorus and in the Honor Society one-act play. She was a member of usherettes and as a senior she joined the Annual Staff and became a member of Torch. James Woolery was chosen by the faculty to be a speaker at the commencement exercises. He has taken interest in music, participating in the band during his four years in high school, the pep band, Dixieland band, Saxophone quartet, and chorus. He took part in the junior and senior class plays, and then, as a senior, he was Co-Editor of the “Hornet.” Ronald Johnson was chosen by his classmates to be a graduation speaker. He was active in band and participated in the activities of the Honor Society. In his junior year he was class vice-president and also president of the Spanish Club. In his senior year he was on the Annual Staff and a member of Torch. Ron well deserves the Citizenship Award which was given to him in his senior year. Norman Looney, class president, delivered the welcoming address to the parents and friends of the graduating class of 1956. Norman has been a member of many activities since he started high school. He has been a band member for four years, participating in the solo contest and also in the All Northwest Band. Norman participated in Parliamentary Procedure through his interest in F.F.A.
