The stage and projection crew completed a busy year with many hours of hard work put in making life more pleasant for White River students. Their work consisted of showing movies to classes, taking care of the PA system at assemblies and football games, and taking charge of props and equipment for stage pro- ductions. To earn their letters stage and projection crew members must put in a total of 40 hours of time outside school hours. Those letter wearers have really done a good job! Adviser, Mr. Mellish. Erickson This year’s very active Girls’ Club was led by President Lorene Erickson, and a cabinet of 13 girls. To start the year’s events, the annual Variety Show was held. To bring back memories, the Alumni joined us for our “Moments to Remember” Homecoming, which we celebrated with an assembly in the afternoon and a football game and dance in the evening. Everyone was put into the Christmas spirit when the girls es- corted the boys to the formal Tolo, with “Christmas Bells” as the theme. The Mother-Daughter Banquet, held in May, was put on by the Junior girls for the Senior girls and their mothers. Our last big event was the Mother’s Tea, where everyone enjoyed seeing the formal installation of next year’s officers. Vice-President, Shirley Trullinger; Secretary, Ells- worth Hackmann. The eight capable office girls helped our secretary, Mrs. Baumgardner, make our school a more smoothly functioning machine. Attendance taking, typing, filing, running errands, and being on hand for any and all jobs where they might be needed were all part of their day’s work. Assisting Mrs. Rich in her task of supplying our students with books and making the library a pleasant place to read and study, was a capable staff of sixteen girls. Among their jobs were cataloging, filing, checking our books, and helping to arrange displays for special occasions in the library. FIRST ROW: C. Smith, W. Heston, M. Lightburn, S. Franklin, L.
