Student (?ou tcit The Student Council is composed of the Class Presidents and Class Representatives of all classes, seven through twelve. It also consists of the Presidents from various organizations throughout the school with the exceptions of F.F.A., G.A.A., and Pep Club Presidents. Mr. Patrick had the responsibility of Student Council adviser. Upon their shoulders rested the difficulties of busy school life. Some of the business of the Student Council this year was sending Lorene Erickson. Betty Ann Inglin, Allan Magstadt, and Norman Looney to the Student Leaders’ Conference; making laws to help maintain a smoothly running school; whether to have each class hold dance sessions in the gym during activity period; and nomin- ating next year’s S.B.A. officers. The Student Council set a good example for the studerits and other organizations by encouraging student participation and thought in all school problems. Allan Magstadt, President; Charlotte Dieringer, Vice Presi- dent; Betty Ann Inglin, Secretary. The main purpose of the Calendar Committee which was started by the Student Council, is to approve dates for student activities. The Calendar Committee consists of a repre- sentative from each club in the school: Also at- tending the meetings are Mr. Patrick and Mr. Mellish. The Committee meets whenever certain dates have to be set or discussed. These include the dates for such school functions as the Junior Prom, Senior Prom, Band Carnival, and many others. The Calendar Committee has proved very suc- cessful and is a great help to the school, as it pre- vents conflicting dates from arising. The dates of all school functions must be approved by the Calendar Committee. Mr. Ross, Mr. Mellish, Mrs. Caviczel, P. Person, V. ZafTee, C. Dieringer, J. Podolak, and N. Person. FIRST ROW: J.
