3 Cornets Off to f iess To keep our school library in neat order is one of the duties of our seventeen student librarians. They also type and file catalogue cards, check books and magazines in and out of the library, collect fines on books that are over-due. They keep the books and magazines in order which helps our Faculty Librarian. Mrs. Elison. Our library is made very attractive by the art displays that the students arrange. LIBRARIANS FIRST ROW: S. Kaye Hreha and Karen Bainton. work- ing together as editor and assistant editor, had a very capable staff cooperating with them. Getting stories in on time, making up the page layouts, proofreading and sell- ing the Hornet were some of the many things to be done, and with patience and assistance from Mr. Boelhkc. advisor, they were done. This is the 50th year that an annual has been published for the students at Buckley: therefore, making this our ‘ Anniversary book. This year's editor. Yvonne Anderson, and assistant editor. Patsy Baker, have put forth much thought and effort to produce an attractive and different yearbook with new Y. ANDERSON Editor layouts and better typing construction. To capture and depict any exciting or unusual happenings in sports, classrooms, extra-curricular activities, and all social events, was the job of the shutterbugs. Under the leadership of Miss Gates, advisor, and Phyllis Grab, president, the Girls' Club has accomplished much this year. Among its many achievements was the revising of the Constitution, a task filled with hard work. Each girl was given a copy of the revised edition. The annual Homecoming affair is sponsored by the members of the Girls’ Club. This year our Homecoming was held October 29. The girls worked hard to put on a program that was different and interesting. One of the main projects of the club is the annual Girls’ Club Tolo. which this year was held on December 11. sporting a Christmas theme of Winter Fantasy.” A new project undertaken by the girls was the spon- soring of a Variety Show which was composed of school and public talent. The cabinet, along with the president and the advisor, is the governing body of the group. It includes a vice- president. secretary, a representative from each class, sales chairman, assistant sales chairman, entertainment chair- man, league room chairman, friendship chairman and G.A.A. president.
