6 MR. AMES FRED CLOGSTON Advisor ARLENE SPROAT President Representative in 6. l,I.OYD BLANUSA JUNE STANTON Vice President Secretary-Treasurer Class History Twelve steps on the 'ladder of Education and at last we have reached the top. Struggling and pushing frantically. we acquired our knowledge through volumes of books and tedious lessons. but how we use that knowledge is now left up to us. ln spite of the lessons. tardy slips and excuses. there are many memories which we will always cherish.' During the first year of our climb as Sophomores. we gave our first dance. lihe Barnyard Skid. which was well attended. To further improve our abilities. Serenade in Blue was used as the theme of the Junior Prom and proved to be a huge success. Many members of this ambitious class were included in Band. Musical Groups. Bucklonian Staff and Dramatic Productions. The class suffered the loss of two of its members. Hugh Kneeland and Dick Norris. who were called into the service of our country. With Mr. Ames as advisor. our senior class moved forward into many varied activities: annual staff. Quill and Scroll. Torch Honor. and Drama Club. Positions on the football team were well hlled by the following lettermen: Allman. Blanusa. Caviezel. Jackson. Kaelin. Ranch. Svidran, Whitmore, with Smith as Captain. Honored positions on the All-Conference first and second football teams in the Puget Sound League were deservedly held by Smith and Blanusa respectively. Among the first stringers in basketball. we found Captain Blanusa. Allman. Kaelin. Ranch. Smith. and Svidran. all making a good showing. Blanusa and Allman each won a place on the All4Conference basketball teams. With Fred Clogston guiding the class of 46 . a successful four years of High School was completed with the Senior Picnic. Banquet and Ball as climaxes. NORMA STANLEY NANEVICZ Valedictorian Salutatorian
