Oh, my aching back!! The Masked Marvel Boxed concrete? 94 96 97 Class Prophecy As the cards are turned in the year 1982, we first see our top graduate Dale Barnwell, as America's Most famous brain surgeon. To my great surprise his first patient was his old friend Burgess Austin, who, thank the good Lord above helped him finish school and become the most famous author of our time. I'd rather not tell the name of the books that have made him fa- mous. Michael Bonner just so happens to be in charge of the Dating Computer System and is fixing up dates for all the boys. It is turning out to be another James Bond Adventure. And Donald Edwards is now Mayor of Chosea Springs which is a big city now. I see David Heath who, as we remember, was one of White Plains Globetrotters; He has used his looks to get into movies. Randall Doss, has turned into another Tom Jones; his big performance as a cheer leader started all this. Paul Ponder and Robert Stephens liked driving buses so much they started a bus line be- tween our two biggest cities, Hollingsworth and Old Davistown. Larry Hall liked breaking telephone poles so much that he is now head of the Southern Bell Telephone Company Branch in Anniston. Lordy be! Doug Harbin was always great basket- ball, but he has now turned into another Babe Ruth in Baseball; his name has been on the lips of almost every person in the United States. Nancy Cobb, now Nancy Frames, and her husband Gary Frames, have made it big with a horse ranch in the charming Valley of Pleasent Ridge (peeridge) which they own. They have taken their annual trip to the Moon to visit Rhonda (Penny) and Roger Webber who decided to stay up there. It just so happens Roger is the Scientist on the moon, in charge of the Moon mission. Tracy Chandler has become an inventor of our most prized possession for a woman that is, he has invented a robot maid that does all the work for the housewife. Joel Jeffers is the most talked about preacher in the United States. We are all very proud of him as is Billy Graham. Joel is now in California on a crusade. Darrell Jeffers otherwise known to most of us as Boots, has turned into a roving reporter, perhaps you have heard of him; his T.V. name is Boots the Great. Gary Brooks, who was one of our outstanding basketball players of the 70’s, is now one of the most outstanding players of the Lakers who, thanks to Gary, have won the last 50 games. Gwen Busby and Linda Williams now own and operate the Slenda Romma in Choccolocco, they have invited us for a free visit, they are the best. 98 Class Prophecy (cont.) Carla Carroll now Carla Harris, and her husband Danny own a big ranch in Harrisville, located between Pleasent Ridge and White Plains, Who in the world is this? June Livingston, to my surprise she is now the first woman professional baseball player. She sure was good in that sport back in school. She must be a good wife and mother also, because she has a house- ful of younguns. Pam Houck Young, has gone into politics; who'd ever believe Rod would let her. She is now our Senator and her mansion is still here in White Plains. Still talking about politics, Patty Trotter, has now become the first woman President of the United States. Betty Humphrey, is the head of the nursing department at Anniston Memorial Hospital and has been voted Nurse of the Year. Susan (Smith) and Charles Hanson are doing fine. Susan is now the Postmaster General around here. She got her experience while delivering newspa- pers for Charles. Sherry Langley, finally made it big! She is the owner and operator of our biggest mortuary in Anniston. She's the only one I know who has a specially built pink Camero. Well, Debra Austin went straight to work after graduation at Sewells and now she has started a suit factory of her own here in Iron City. Guess who's the president? Well, of course she is. Sandra Hyatt is now the sheriff of Rabbitown. Boy, that shows how times have changed. Ever since she took office, every case has been solved. Sandy Harper, is now in New York as a model. She comes home every now and then gives us girls lessons on how to walk and is full of news about the latest fashions. Well, Debbie Harper, and Jean McCormick are in control of White Plains Academy. It seems while all of us have been doing our thing, they have too. Thev each have eight chil- dren. Now, do you understand why they are in control of the school? The cards have left some of the students of 1972 out. Who could it be? It's those three stooges Brenda, Linda Snider and Brenda Sue. Well, they finally made it. They did get through college, and what do you know! Brenda, has her masters degree in English, and Linda has the highest degree in History. Last but not least Brenda Sue is not only a part-time fortune teller as you see, but also the head of the Nursing Department at Jacksonville Univer- sity. Would you believe we finally found us a man. My cards are all turned now and we know no matter how famous most of us are, we owe it all to God above for helping us make it through. 99 DEBRA AUSTIN BURGESS AUSTIN Who's Who; Varsity Ball 2-4; Base- ball 2,3; W Club 2-4; FFA 1-4; Class Rep. 3; Jr. Play; Annual Staff.
