between four walls we can choose to isolate ourselves or learn to find the world. t I this year the oracle staff has observed a more coop- erative attitude on the part of the student body than has been evident during the past few years, bringing the students, administration, and community to- gether has resulted in achieving a better feeling of comradery at white plains high school, the efforts and plans of manson a. donaghey are largely respon- sible for this accomplishment. as principal, mr. donaghey has been sensitive to stu- dent concerns and flexible enough to initiate new policies to meet the changing times, his realistic ap- proach to all issues, plus his willingness to work with all segments of the school and community have brought about a more harmonious relationship among all parties concerned, never before have so many different groups of people become so in- timately involved in striving for common goals in our school. it is for these reasons that we dedicate the 1973 oracle to mr. manson a. donaghey, and extend our appreciation for his ability to establish a better rap- port throughout the school. john zilembo, assistant principal always give your best effort and people will respect you. daniel woodard, assistant principal life is itself but a game at football. harry jefferson, north house director a man has to live with himself, and he should see to it that he has good company. norman brust, assistant north house director love breeds love- hate breeds hate— what type of blue ribbon breeder are you? anthony tramando, south house director the worid is divided into people who do things and people who get the credit, try, if you can, to belong to the first class, there's far less competition.
