Douglas Dil- lenbeck and Nlr. lfdward Hascall. once guidance coun- selors at White Plains--last fall took positions on l.ong lsland. Nlr. Dillenbeck is at the North Shore High School in Glen Head: Nlr. Hascall. at the Union Free School. District Fourteen. in Hewlett. On leave of absence this year was Miss Frances Stone. recuperating from an injury of last summer. Nlr. Donald Ummen has been studying at Teachers College, Columbia University. Mrs. Nina Hellmen has been missed by the science department. A few of the teachers who left our shores are retired from teaching: Miss Alice Hudson tnow on a ti-ip around the worldl. Mrs. Esther Williamson. Xlr. W. lrving Jennings. and Mr. lfarl Hoag. Miss tiladys lfauley retired at the end of February of this year, because of ill health. We are always glad to see such friends return as substitutes here. Some have gone farther away than others. Mrs. liar- bara Rosenberg moved to San Francisco with her hus- band. stationed there in a position with the Navy. Nlrs. Anita Rentley. on the otller hand. went only as far as l'ost Road Junior High School. where she taught for the year just closed. Mr. Harold Ferguson now holds a position in Upper Nlerion. Pennsylvania: and Mr. Frank Robinson is continuing his coaching duties in a new position. Miss Elaine Krouse took leave of the school last ,lune and. we hear. has since married. Un leave of absence for the spring semester of 1951! was Miss Woodley Qualls. accompanying Nliss Hudson in her travels. Dr. Amelia Anthony returned after sab- batical leave in the fall.
