Glass Poem of 1952 Whatever is worth doing at all Is worth doin'; well Whether this is heeded thrcughtout life. Only we ourselves can tell. The way is long; the road is rough. There’ll no doubt be many tears. And yet--there’11 be the smiles too To help us through the '.ears. We’ve often shirked our duty, (And history will repeat). But all in all we’ll try out best, With each challenge that we meet. We’ll always have our memories, Of our carefree high school day's, When hom and Dad were always there. To encourage and to praise. But soon we’ll all be on our own. And scattered near and far, Taking one step at a time Always reaching for our star. Many stars will ne’er be reached. All cannot suceed. But as we travel life’s highway, We’ll try to follow our creed. For there’s no satisfaction In work that’s ju3t half done. So if there carries a ci.ance to lead.
