CLUBS ART The Art Club a very large orgamzatlon holds meetxngs every two weeks under the supervlslon of Mlss Russell The club elected new Offl cers at the end of the first semester The members are permlt ted to undertake projects of thelr own chooslng durlng the club perlod CURRENT EVENTS Thls club conslsts of elev en very actlve members Un der the supervlslon of Mr Hugus they have orlgmated and publlshed our school newspaper The Blue and Gold Bulletm They also spend a great deal of tlme readmg and dxscussmg state and natlonal current events GYM twenty five members and meets every other Monday under the supervlslon of the basketball coach Leo Brown Mr Brown has shown the club a few of the slmple polnts ln boxmg and wrest hng and the boys have also had a conslderable amount of mat work and pyramld bulldlng HOME ECONOMICS The Home Economlcs Club xs a strong group spon sored by Mlss Burton the home economlcs teacher Thls year the club has worked on knlttlng and cro chettlng projects Some of the glrls have been maklng crocheted dolhes and have kmtted sults and sweaters Among the aCtlV1tl6S the club planned for the year were a skating party H31 lowe en party and a hlke The WHITE MEMO '39

CLUBS This club is composed of fifteen members under the direction of Miss Rhea who during the year have built a miniature Roman house and have made several soap carvings and Latin posters They also have mounted all the pictures on Roman life that were available and have undertaken the making of a book to contain these pic tures MANUAL TRAINING The Manual Training Club IS composed of twenty mem bers This year they have work ed on projects of their own choosing and under the sup ervlsion of Mr Hicks they have made this a very suc cessful group MUSIC The Music Club has twen ty members and meets ev ery two weeks in the music room under the supervision of Mr. Huffman. At each meeting, the members trade instruments and try to get acquainted with all the pieces in the band. This has proved very interesting, and much musical knowledge has been learned SCIENCE There are eighteen mem bers in the Science Club Mr Miller meets with this club every two weeks and they read and discuss the newest scientific magazines They have also done quite a bit of scientific experimenting T e WHITE ME
