LUNGHURN MARCHING 3 ND As always, the W.T.White Band maintained a high level of excellence this year. During marching season, the band and flag corps performed at every football game half-time show and managed to show up all of the other bands. The march- ing band also participated in the UIL and Parade of Champi- ons marching contests with a very innovative and entertain- ing show, and did a super job. In the late fall, a high percent- age of band students won chairs in the All-City and All- Region bands and orchestra. After the holiday concert, the band went to work on concert music and performed very well at the spring band contests. The band engaged in sever- al fundraising activities including performances at Love Field, Macy's, and at many other prestigious functions. The spirit and cooperation that the band demonstrated as a unit motivated everyone to strive for perfection. Q-iii its 4- S .
