Amid the dark clutter of various un- known and insignificant spirit groups shone a particular bright spot in the crowd. One group of extremely spirited and outstanding young mem transcend- ed all barriers and reached heights never achieved by any group in the past. This tremendous bunch of seniors guys was the Longhorn Enthusiasm Incorporated spirit group. During the past year they represented the peak of perfection that other groups hope to reach, but never do. LEI was organized two years ago to revive the decreased spirit level of the school caused by a lazy, apathetic senior class. As juniors, LEI showed their true colors C a familiar dark brownj by rising above the seniors to become the driving force behind W.T. White. Continuing on this wave of enthusiasm, the group of thirty entered their senior years intent upon making 86 a number to remem- ber. LEI was always present at pep ral- lies and games, and also replaced a less significant spirit group in helping the cheerleaders hold the banner at halftime during the football games. LEI contin- ued their support of athletic teams by cheering on the baseball, basketball, and soccer teams. With some of the most successful, intelligent, friendly, witty, and spirited people in the school, LEI showed that they were the best spirit group that W.T. White had ever seen. LEI ' 193
