'Ne 'Ne Dr. W. T. White We, the 1964-,65 annual staff of Warren Travis White High School, proudly and sincerely dedicate our first yearbook, THE SAGA ,65, to a man who is nationally recognized for his devoted service to the youth of Dallas County. Beginning his local career in 1931 as principal of Sunset High School, he was, after distinguished service, promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent in charge of high schools and in 1945 was elected to his present position as Superintendent of Schools. ln recent years he received one of the highest honors which can be bestowed upon an American educator when he was elected to the presidency of the American Association of School Administrators. As a tribute to his long service in civic leadership and educational service to the children of Dallas, he was awarded a special citation by the Dallas City Council. We at Warren Travis White have only to uphold the high standards of the man for whom our great school was named. We hope, also, that Dr. White will lool- back one day and see a proud memory in this small token of thanks we at W. T. White bestow upon, him and that he will see our high school which was named in his honor become a better school as the years go by as we strive to make it so. K nf iii X. Lf ul
