These two boys also were named honorable mentlon on several all-state squads. To complete honors heaped upon them, Brian and Bruce were named honorary co-captains by their teammates. Bruce was also named the most valuable player by his teammates. Kenny Brandt was selected by the Braves as the most improved player for the year. The Indians will lose Bruce Johnson, mark Putz, Willian Moore, and Charles Foster, via graduation. Next year will see Kenny Brandt, Gene Johnson, Wayne Meyer, Bob Ellis, Brian Gibson, Jerry Mudget, Wayne Fetterley, Charles Anderson Ronald Sanders, Ellis Fry, and Wayne Phillips as contenders for starting posit- ions.
