fast Will ,And Zcstamenl We, the class of 1958, in the town of Whitakers, the county of Nash, and the state of North Carolina, being in as good m ental condition as usual, and in much better temper than usual, do hereby make this our last will and testament, render- ing void and of no avail any former will or wills that may have been previously made by us during a period of temporary opti- mism. In this manner we dispose of our possessions: Item I. To our dear old school build- ing itself, we leave this p e a c e fu l quiet caused by our abs ence and any apple cores, wads of gum, or crumpled notes we may have left. Item Il. To our principal, Mr. M. C. Collins,we give and bequeath a sense of relief that we are at last graduating. Item III. To our teachers we leave our keen sense of humor and our kindest r e g a r d s , without which we would have found school life painful indeed. Item IV. We give and bequeath to the Junior Class our well -known nerve, which they will need next year, and all the examination questions we have been given during the past years. Item V. To the Sophomore Class we leave our patience and ability to agree on all matters, also any notebooks, pencils, fountain pens, and unfinished lollypops. Item VI. To the young and unsophisti- cated Freshmen, we leave a map of the school building, so they will not get lo s t and roam around in everybody' s way look- ing for classrooms. We include with this map a book e ntitle d How To Tell The Teachers. Item VII. The smaller individual be- quests are as follows: Gwen Adcox leaves her friendly ways to Phyllis Bradley. Jonnie Alford leaves his ability to say the wrong thing at the right time to Gayle Price. Jimmy Barnhill leaves his ability to do the wrong thing at the right time to anyone who wants it. Jean Clay leaves her quietness to Gladys Quincy. Willis Co ok e le av e s his co-operative attitude to Milton Taylor. Dot Jones leaves her g enuine blond hair to Lynda Payne. Evelyn Moore leaves her courteous ways to Gurney Aycock. Linwood Nunnery leaves his ability to get into fights to Robert Jordan. Bruce Parker leaves his aches and pains to anyone in Whitakers High School who feels too good. Donnie Pittman, after taking careful inventory, found that he was fortunate in leaving the school at all and has nothing to leave anyone. Brenda Price leaves her flirty ways to Elizabeth Marks. Woody Tetterton leaves his love for girls to Ivan Moore. Mary Wallace leaves her good studying habits to Keith Mayo. Bill Weaver leaves his ability to sleep on class to Patsy Wallace. Faye Worrell leaves her wedding bells to Anita Marks. Besides the bequests, we leave our be st wishes to any and all who may desire them. Any property or personal possessions of this group that may remain in addition to the items specified are to be given to the School Board of Education to use as it sees fit. Finally, we do hereby name and appoint as the sole executer of this our last will and testament, our class advisor, Mrs. W. P. Thompson. In witness where of, this class of 1958, the testator, have set our hand and seal on this twentieth day of May in the year of 1958. Brenda Price Te stator
