Athletic Association Although facilities were limited, the Athletic Association tried to provide Wheelock girls with frequent opportunities for recreation this year. During the fall, Wheelock was invited to the Wellesley Hockey Play Day, which was given for a group of colleges in the Boston area. The group had a most active year or- ganizing many excursions, some of which were held at a near- by swimming pool, ice-skating rink, and bowling alley. Mrs. Jean Marsh served as the advisor for this organization, which greatly appreciated her guidance. 81

Each year the Build- ing Fund Committee has asked the students to make their contributions to this fund by sup- porting its various sales. The committee approached the past year with special enthusiasm because the plans for a new building which is to house an auditorium, gymnasium, offices and classroom facilities en- tered blue-print and model stages last fall. We hope to be building within two years. The committee wishes to think all of the students who have purchased Wheelock nightshirts, mugs, banners and other such items, for they have helped to make these plans possible by giving us their support this year.
