2 ene Class Council The Class Council consists of the presidents of the four classes. The Senior Class President, Barbara Gibson, acts as chairman of the council. Carol Jeffers from the Junior Class represents Class Council in the Senate and Carolyn Nichols, a sophomore, goes to College Council. The group meets occasionally to discuss important college matters in relation to the classes. The major purpose of the Council is to in- sure inter-class communication. Class Council: C. Jeffers, C. Kesident-Day Council Resident-Day Council, made up of the presidents and vice-presidents of dormitory and day groups, meets monthly with the Dean of Students to promote healthy community living by reviewing campus policies and regulations. The hope of the council is to establish the feeling that the regulations aid cooperative living by meeting the specific needs of the students. Maturely and thoroughly the council studies any regulations which are in need of interpretation and revision. Members of the council also review the major divisions of Wheelock community life in their efforts to define, understand, and interpret campus policies. MS g : ae Resident-Day Council: Standing: C. Clubs Council The Club Council consists of the vice-president of Senate, the presidents of all the clubs and associations, and the editors of the Key and Wheel. Its purpose is to coordinate all the extra-curricular activities on the campus. The aim of the council is to promote a feeling of unity. A combined orientation program for freshmen in the fall and combined performances by the various clubs throughout the year helped to unify extra-curricular activities at Wheelock. 67
