There are four elementary buildings in Wheelersburg School district. The first and second grade building is connected to the high school building and the next four grades are located in the old high school building about one-fourth mile east ot Wheelersburg High School. Two other elementary schools are located at Sciotodale and Allentown. Wheelersburg High also has the students from Lyra School in Vernon Township. In these schools the foundation ot true learning is laid. From those years we spent there we learned to live together, play together and work together. Our Beginners I'm grown up now-only a few days and I'll be graduating from high school. Yes, it's almost over. And as every day brings commencement closer I begin to think of the days gone by. I close my eyes and suddenly the years roll back. It's a hot September morning. I am so excited I can hardly drink the glass of milk Mother is insisting I drink. Why shouldn't I be excited? It's my first day at school! I even have a new dress for the occasion. I hear Bud call, The bus is coming. Mother gives a final touch to the ribbon on my pigtails. Bud grabs my lunch-half drags me to the bus. Yes, I know now a new world opened for me that morning-a world I've lived in for the last twelve years. In memory of all those happy years, in honor of those dear teachers, who seemed to understand as much as Mother did, I am writing this in the last school yearbook in which I'll ever take part. We'll always re- member and love you for the help you gave us in getting started.
