We shared many good times, and we stuck together through the bad. You helped us to grow into adults, you taught us how to overcome the heartaches which we endured. The goals that we had set before us we always reached with your guidance and constant helping hand. The most important thing that you taught us is to have respect for others., As we leave, we wish to express our thanks for all that you have done for us and with us. 2 Class of 1984 Special Recognition Miss Armstrong: You came to us in our freshman year. You openly volunteered of yourself to our class. Because of the knowledge you have and the guidance you gave, we have had four happy and successful years. We will always be grateful for your help. 3 Class of 1984 Anchorage CANADA Sakhalin I. There is a great change since an elegant restaurant is in place of the sand dunes, and of course it is owned and managed by Pat Moran. The place is really beginning to fill up. Mr. Scott is greeting everyone at the door and is still telling us to get inside before the “dinner” bell rings. The first to arrive is Michael Jones who will be playing the electric guitar for our “loud” enjoyment. For further entertainment, Sister Ruth Chappell will render a piece on the organ, and our Comedienne for the night will be Robin Gurnee. Betsy Abel has just stepped in with Sherri Freeman. They are both starring in the Muppets “Veterinarians Hospital” as nurses. And here comes Owen Ahearn who has graduated from a Washington page to a full fledged book! Speaking of graduating, who is that sitting in the corner with a diploma? It must be Red Muff! How’d he manage to get in, never mind graduate? Is that Mary Crandall we hear? She is talking about her big plans to be the first woman on Pluto. Others who have arrived are Peggy Collins, who is Kenny Rogers’ new accompanying singer, and Eugene Cornell, who has designed his own brand of jeans called, “U-Jeans.” Brad Gaffney is over near the table talking about his plans to tour with “Rush”. There is Chris Izzo who now has his own game show called “You ... win a Firebird!” Sam Sawyer and his wife Tracy Wills have just driven up in a Captain Sawyer’s Seafood truck, and there is Dana Cushman who, (now a southern belle) supposedly came up from Georgia on a Mississippi River boat. It is time to sit down and eat. Our caterer is Charlie Burger, who owns his own Cross Country burger joint called “McChucketts” and his personal chef is Rob Freemer. Sitting down at the table is Tina Vance. She now works for the Salvation Army and gets her clothes at a 10% discount. Todd Shafer is now the caretaker for Elvis Presley’s estate in Tennessee, and Tristan McLean is the new model for Copperton Suntan oil. Someone has just arrived by plane from Africa-Dr. Livingston we presume? Speaking of planes, Fred Hunt can now be seen circling above the restaurant in his B-29 bomber and Marko Nadberezny, who made it all the way from Fantasy Island, is yelling “d’plane boss, d’plane!” We don’t have to worry about being attacked since our top security is being provided by Steve Gunn and associates, which includes Bruce Williams. Mike Howell is dressed in his uniform since he is now a paid fireman, and will put out any fires. Cindy Simpson, who owns the “Laugh-A-Loud Lounge” is now serving beverages of various descriptions. Terry Bishop who has now taken Mr. Whitten’s position as Wheeler High School’s new Earth Science teacher, is out in Colorado studying rock formations. Many of our classmates haven’t arrived yet. Charlene Appleton Bromley didn’t make it because she actually believed the reunion was in Alaska. Lori Beckwith is living in Maine with Chris and hasn’t been seen since June of 1984. She’s probably off fishing somewhere. We hear Dianna Gencarella, who has her own column called “Dear Dianna”, giving advise to Kevin Lee, the new principal at Wheeler High School. (She is still as loud as ever). Speaking of loud, everyone is running to the door to see what that noise is. Of course it’s Richard Brayman with his co-pilot, Jim Wells, who have just hit Robert Miner’s “Dairy King” truck. Richard and Jim were the first men to actually jump a diesel truck with a Volkswagon. What motorheads! “Hee, Hee, Hee”. Who is that laughling? It must be Desiree Ralls, who now lives in Hollywood, owns an M M company, and records laugh tracks for situation comedies. Behind her, counting money, is Kathy Johanessen, who is the U.S. Secretary of Treasury. No wonder the economy is still in bad shape. Jason Rummel and Carol Williams didn’t make it to the reunion since they are on location shooting the sequel to “Bride of Frankenstein”, and Karen Falardeau couldn’t make it because she went to France, lost all her money in stocks and couldn’t afford the plane tickets home. Robert Banker is now called “Boogie Bobby Jr.” and is the newest and hottest host of “Solid Gold”. He is introducing the Solid Gold lead dancers, Scott Vandale and Heidi Jennerwein. Heidi has a great mohawk. Everyone is out on the dance floor dancing to the “Jason Newcomb Strut” including Samantha Storey and her husband, retired basketball star Larry Bird. Fred Suprenant is trying to get everyone to dance to the “Beatles” and Lori Siller is sitting in the corner. Who is that painted green and crashing through the wall? Oh yeah, that is Fred Grillo who now has his own television show called “The Incredible Bulk”. There is Maurice Williams who is a famous hairdresser in Paris and occasionally colors Karen Stout’s hair, if she makes it to the appointment. And of course there is Lori Tennant, still complaining about having the Hornet and not a real car. Oh well, “These are the best of times you Turkeys”. That must be Miss Armstrong. Well, we had better start celebrating and living it up! “Let the fun begin!” CLASS INSTIGATORS: Scott Vandale and Robin Gurnee “This is the only way to get revenge.” TEACHER’S PET: Mike Howell and Mary Crandall “We’re ready for our daily walk.” MOST ORGANIZED: Terry Bishop and Kathy Jo-hanessen “Organization the essential of life.” LOUDEST: Rob Freemer and Cindy Simpson “We said!!! In 1900. the company delivered the first submarine HOLLAND, and since then has built over one-half of all the submarines for the U S. Navy. In 1954. it launched the world's first nuclear submarine. NAUTILUS. It also designed the Navy's fleet of ballistic missile submarines and built GEORGE WASHINGTON, the lead ship. Today, Electric Boat Division, as designer and builder of the new Trident missile submarine, remains the free world's leader in submarine technology, continuing to produce the most efficient and sophisticated undersea craft in the world.
