Gift, Ornate I Have A Gracious 12 13 Beneath the Skies Divine. And This Is Mine 14 THE ROAD NOT TAKEN Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Some where ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by And that has made all the difference. -Robert Frost DEDICATION We, the members of the Class of 1977, dedicate Leo '77 to Miss Bernice Armstrong - a great person and true friend. And now you're going where the sun never sets, Or pain has it's domain. You lived a good life, never meaning to hurt. You shared the gift not readily found. Heaven holds a place for servants like you, Not ashamed to stand for what you believed in. God will comfort you; you'll get your earned reward. God took you away from us, for reasons yet unknown. We'll never understand why, it seems so unfair To die at such an early age, where life is just beginning. I considered you my friend Peter, and it hurt me To accept reality, especially the hardest reality. But we'll carry on, with you eternally in our hearts. I just rejoice that you have seen your maker. Now you're where we'll all be someday, In a land where Christ is Lord. I'll be coming home too, someday soon, And we'll meet again: never again to depart. Respectfully, with love, David P. Our reunion is being held in the cafeteria as is traditional of most of our class activities. We decided to make our own decorations. However, since Jayne Gray, Andy Boettcher, and Jay Hoye, couldn't agree on a theme, they each did their own wall. Jayne's wall is a 50'x 60' portrait of Robert Red-ford. Andy's wall is a giant representation of The Loch Ness Monster and Jay, well he's still doing his dot to dot. One of the first to arrive is, yes, you guessed it, Deeann Geiler who hasn't changed one bit; she is still complaining about the decorations. What's this? Authors Katie Hillyer and Pam Graves are outside the door promoting their new book, TANYA AND ME! Someone forgot to tell Pete Spielman that he could stop taking pictures for the yearbook. He just snapped a fantastic shot of Beth Jarvis and Steven Richmond dancing to the their song, Together Again . Wanda Cornell is greeting the others at the door; as usual, she is wearing her large flowered hat and is handing out gum. Thinking it necessary to have music, we brought along a stero-tape player. You can hear the music of In Heaven, There Is No Beer , loud and clear as Tommy Main and Jeff Collins walk in. They have opened a package store in North Stonington called Main and Collins ; there is a slight problem though, they're never open, but the stock keeps disappearing. Eddie Bill couldn't make it tonight, the Celtics need their main man; the score-keeper. Good job Eddie! If you have something wrong with your car, take it to J. R. 's garage owned by none other than Jim Rantanen himself. He'll greet you happily with his bird calls. The biggest surprise tonight was when Morgan Stewart announced he now has partial ownership of Sears and Stewart . He has Debbie Young, JoAnn Umphlett, and Kathy Ormsby as his secretaries and Patty Crofts as his accountant. Good Luck to a booming business! Laura Tillinghast has just walked in with her Bible. She is beginning to speak; We are gathered... . Donna Welch was just heard to have said, Is this a church service? Wanda Weber has replied, Oh. what a queer! Gerry Fryer is now the first woman president of the United States and has just arrived in her limousine. The Fire House in North Stonington is under new supervision with; Mike Noon, Steve Sawyer, George Kunz, and Mark Robinson as our volunteers. If you need to call them in case of fire make sure there isn't a party going on, because, if there is, they will never make it. Believe it or not we have our own tri-cycle gang. They are Robbie Reust and Rita Bliven, who have just raced in on their fancy wheels. Charlene Bilodeau is here and still has not stopped talking. Donna White has moved up in the world} she is now the owner of the Tupperware factory instead of just a dealer. Lori White has moved up in the world of business also, she is now the owner of the Hide-Out Inn . She is having problems and has been shut down because no one can find it. Nadine Gross is still going out with Huck Perkins just as she was ten years ago. Irene Palmer, Debbie Robbins, and Tammy Mitchell had to open their Humpty Dumpty Nursery , so we all could come to the reunion. We asked three days ago if they would make it; they said no, seeing how they needed the money and would, rather work, than play Joanne Knapp and Karen Hart have walked in dribbling basketballs ready to take us all on. Sue Peabody will be late, she made an appointment to have supper with the guys from the town, then she has to pick up Caryn Johnston, who has a chore to tend to before they come. Bobby Cochran and Duane Vance have arrived but cannot stay long. They are still running Cross Country and they need plenty of rest. We were just informed that Jason Storey, who still drives a cow truck and David Kaschel, who still drives a chicken truck for Arbor Acres, have gotten into an accident; now they have their own kind of Egg Nog . In spite of this, they will be with us soon. Roy Gurnee is owner of a 60 acre farm known by the name of Sky High! His workers are: Mike Meardy, Terie Anderson, Mike Johnson, Mike Charron, Matt Howard, and Ed Builder. Rich Sasko is now the coach of a professional soccer team. Tina Lord is the head cheerleader for Rich's team. Jim Jones has started his own pep squad for the basketball games; on his squad, are Bill McLean and Billy Crofts. Keep up the good work guys! Richard Knight, who has always had trouble in dark rooms, has lost one of his contact lenses in the onion dip. Frank Corbin and John Purcell have opened up a new bar recently, seeing how Main's and Collins' packy is never open. Their waitresses are Debbie Steinhart, Marilyn Miner, and Joan Dean. For a taste of class, be sure and stop by. Last but not least, Patrick McKenna was unable to be here; St. Bernards was also having their tenth reunion. With our tenth reunion at an end, we are all glad that we had this opportunity to see who has or hasn't changed. We hope everyone will be able to make it to our next reunion. Until then... .
