In all of your formative years thus far, culminating with your graduating from Wheeler High School this June, you have been surrounded with loving parents and teachers who have helped to guide you through the narrow channels of life and who have prevented your foundering on the shoals. Now that we have hopefully guided you into the safe, deep waters, we must leave you to plot your own future course. We prayerfully trust that the chart you outline for the future will bring to you a rich and rewarding life. We extend to you a cordial invitation to return to visit with us during the ensuing years. 'Principal REFLECTIONS Time and memory have a way of affecting each other so that when one considers events that have happened recently they appear to have a significance, an intensity unique to the present. The same situations, viewed at a different time in the future, take on a different importance, a different intensity. Y our stay at Wheeler will be subjected to the same kind of time-memory interrelationship. Perform an experiment. After your graduation, record in your yearbook your most outstanding impressions while at Wheeler. Ten years from that date, review these impressions. Most people would accept this suggestion as commonplace, the nothing new approach.” Therein is lost a most vauable lesson. Time has a way of tempering things, of placing them in perspective. Ten years hence, your impression of Wheeler will have changed. In those reflective moments, warm recollections will return, and the true view of your stay at this school will unfold.
