ROBERT LEONARD PICARD Boobie Bob, a real enthusiast for sports, has participated in intramural basketball and volleyball. He has also shown great interest in the Audio-Visual Aid Club. His ability to talk incessantly won many an argument in Student Council in his junior year. Bob--alias the great white hunter--has also been a member of the National Rifleman's Association--thus exemplifying his love for guns. Among other hobbies of his are surfing and slotcar racing We will all certainly miss Bob but we know he will have good luck in achieving his future goals. ii HOLLY LOUISE PLUDE Holly joined our class in the sixth grade from New Hartford, Connecticut. Her interest in her class has been widely displayed in the work she did for the success of the Semi-formal, the Junior Prom, and the Senior Ball. An avid sportsman. Holly participated in the Sports Club for two years. Her artistic ability has been used greatly on class activities. She has many hobbies; one of these is playing the electric guitar. We will all miss Holly and her crazy blue jeep, but we will never forget this girl and her constant praise of the Beatles! 26

DALE JANE O'BRIEN Dale Dale came to Wheeler from Stonington High School in Stonington, Connecticut, at the beginning of her senior year. At Stonington, Dale was an office girl and a library helper. She participated in many clubs, the variety of which showed her wide range of interests. These clubs included the Girls' Physical Fitness Club, the Library Club, the Future Business Club, the Girls' Intermural Sports Club, and the Design Club. Dale, though entering our class as a senior, has made many friends at Wheeler where she is known and liked for her genuine friendliness. JANET EMILY PALMER Jan Janet, a gay person with a subtle, dry wit, has been a member of our class since first grade. She is known for her competence in mathematics and thus, was elected chairwoman of the finance committee for the Junior Prom She has also been a member of the girls' chorus. Jan has quite a flare for writing both prose and poetry; writing is one of her favorite hobbies. Her present dream is to attend hairdressing school after graduation. Her amazing ability to rise cheerfully to any situation will always be remembered and admired. 25

BERNARDINE VIE ROBBINS Bernie Although Bernardine appears to be quiet, she is known by her friends to be quite rollicking. She is an exceptionally good seamstress and has proved this by participating in fashion shows and has designed garments for others. Bernardine has been extremely helpful in all class activities. During the Junior year, she was chosen to be on the Queen's Court. We know Bernardine will go far with her friendly personality. Good luck from all of us. GOLDIE ROBBINS Goldie'' Friendly and tiny best describe Goldie, who has received all of her education from North Stonington Schools. Without Goldie and her faithful car , the Junior Prom decorating committee would never have met successfully. She has attended Home Economics classes throughout her high school years and has proven to be especially talented with sewing and knitting. It was also she who created the suit our handsome little page wore during the Junior Prom. Best wishes for happiness in the future go to our classmate, Goldie! 27
