It may be truly stated that a single impetuous act by one of our world’s leaders could result in consequences to mankind which are totally beyond complete comprehension. Never before in human history has it been so necessary to bridle the qualities of rashness, incautiousness and impetuosity. In the same vein, the reward to our young men and women for controlled action and clear-thinking will be steady and measurable progress toward their goals. I would like to warmly congratulate the Seniors upon the occasion of their graduation and assure them of our best wishes for the future. 5 Adolph M. Zukowski

The man asked, Where is the true value of learning?” The thinker replied, “Make it thy business to know thy self, which is the most difficult lesson in the world.” To learn for the sake of better knowing yourself. What a tremendous undertaking! What an invigorating challenge! Therein lies the beauty and the fulfillment of the gift of life. The acquisition of learning for self-knowledge begins and ends in the same medium -humility. I speak not of the humility of the fearful or of the shy but rather, the humility of one who, as he grows in the awareness of his place in time and eternity, sees the great dignity of his as well as the dignity of the lives of all humans. It is the development of this dignity, based in learning, which leads to respect of self. Fortified with such virtue, a man may well walk with his head high and his heart filled with joy. Here then. Graduates, is the task that you face. It is one that has no end and one that perpetuates itself memory and deed. Congratulations! 6 Eugene R. DiOrio
