Andy, who has been holding a part-time job after school hours, has also managed to take part in various school activities and committees. As a freshman he helped at our notorious paper-drive and was on a movie committee during that same year. Good ole Misk was appointed to both the Sophomore Semi-formal and Junior Prom decorating committees. Due to his citizenship and service, Andy received the Sons of the American Revolution award in his senior year. Throughout her high school years Judy has been on the high Honor Roll at Wheeler. Because of constant perseverance in school work and participation in various school affairs, she has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and is the present secretary. During her freshman and junior years she received the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Award. Judy has developed a will to complete what she has undertaken, in striving for the best. CORINNE PAULA MARTINEZ During her freshman year at Wheeler, Cor-inne was kept busy with many activities, ranging from J. V. cheerleader to a Camera Club member. At the beginning of the sophomore year she earned the position of varsity cheerleader and remained on this squad throughout her junior year. Corinne's friendly and high-spirited personality has won her many friends and for these same reasons she was chosen by the student body as an attendant of the Junior Prom Court. Dancing and sun bathing all summer long have become two of Corinne's favorite pastimes and enjoyments. Corinna College JANET ELAINE MINER ••jan Commercial Janet has been quite active in school affairs. She has excelled in Girls' Softball and Basketball and received Sportsmanship Awards in both. In her junior year, she received the Staffer Award, given by the New London Day. Membership in the National Honor Society, of which she is now treasurer, has been obtained due to her good grades, willingness to work, and eagerness in the many things she endeavors. An example of this willingness to work is shown in the tremendous amount of preparation and time Janet has given as Editor of the Wheeler-ite. 27

Connie is one of the clever, hard-working members of our class. Throughout her years at Wheeler she has shown a hearty and genial disposition, which has aided in obtaining many friends. Our classrooms are frequently filled with her mirthful giggle and indications of contentment. She served on the decorating committees for both the Sophomore Hop and the Junior Prom. Connie was also an attendant of the Junior Prom Court. CONSTANCE ELIZABETH PALMER Connie College SUZANNE RUTH PARANT Sam College Suzanne's bubbling personality and exuberant spirit have contributed much to our class, and her pleasant and sincere manner has cheered many of her classmates. During her sophomore year Sam was vice-president of the Future Homemakers of America Club and was State treasurer of the organization in her junior year. Because of her good grades and enthusiastic participation in school activities, she was a member of the National Honor Society during her sophomore and junior years. She has been with us for eleven years. 29
