Paulette, a most friendly and cheery person and one of our hardest working classmates, has contributed a good deal of her time and energy to class affairs. In addition to class activities, Paulette was a member of the Girls' Basketball Team in her junior year and helped it to victory. Her energetic mannerisms assure her of success in the future. Paulette has acquired all of her education at the North Stonington Schools. PAULETTE FRANCES LORD Paulette General JAMES JOSEPH LOUISGNAN Jim General Shy, yet really quite amiable with his fellow classmates would be the way you would describe Jim. His easy-going attitude along with his helpful manner make him well-liked and respected by the students. He came here in his freshman year from Montville. Since then he has served on various dance committees and has worked on other class projects. His many interests include hunting, fishing, and outdoor life in generaL 26

MINDY LEBOVITZ Mindy, through his ardent interest in the sea and surfing, has acquired the pet name The Surfer”. He developed this interest while living in California four years ago, and brought it with him when he moved to North Stonington. Min also has an exceptional interest in sports which he has extended through extracurricular activities at school. He was a member of the Sports Club in his freshman and sophomore years, and in his junior year Mindy became assistant manager to the Basketball Team. The Class of '65 will always remember Mindy for his happy and nonchalant character. Min General ROSANN AYER LECHNER Rosann College Rosann is one of the members of the class who began school in North Stonington and twelve years later approaches graduation from Wheeler. The last four years have been busy ones for her. In her sophomore year, she was not only a member, but also treasurer, of the Student Council. As chairman of the decorating committee for our Junior Prom, Rosann showed her creative ability by selecting appropriate decorations. Her blithe smile and good-natured personality will undoubtedly assure her much happiness in the years to come. 25

CORINNE PAULA MARTINEZ During her freshman year at Wheeler, Cor-inne was kept busy with many activities, ranging from J. V. cheerleader to a Camera Club member. At the beginning of the sophomore year she earned the position of varsity cheerleader and remained on this squad throughout her junior year. Corinne's friendly and high-spirited personality has won her many friends and for these same reasons she was chosen by the student body as an attendant of the Junior Prom Court. Dancing and sun bathing all summer long have become two of Corinne's favorite pastimes and enjoyments. Corinna College JANET ELAINE MINER ••jan Commercial Janet has been quite active in school affairs. She has excelled in Girls' Softball and Basketball and received Sportsmanship Awards in both. In her junior year, she received the Staffer Award, given by the New London Day. Membership in the National Honor Society, of which she is now treasurer, has been obtained due to her good grades, willingness to work, and eagerness in the many things she endeavors. An example of this willingness to work is shown in the tremendous amount of preparation and time Janet has given as Editor of the Wheeler-ite. 27
