Shy but friendly, Linda is often seen but not heard. Although she appears serious, her conviv-iality among her friends is well known. She attended Pawcatuck Junior High School for two years before coming to Wheeler, where she has devoted the remaining four years of her high school education. Linda has served on various committees-Invitation Committee for the Sophomore Hop and Junior Prom, to mention only two. We wish the best of luck to our classmate, Linda. As President of our Senior class, Ellie Lew's perky personality and able leadership are well known to us alL Her creative ability and genuine interest in class affairs led her to many other positions of leadership in school activities. Unusually talented musically, Ellie Lew's honors in her sophomore year were the P. T, A. Music Award, the Eastern Connecticut Music Award, the All-State Music Award and she attended the Eastern States Music FestivaL She also represented Wheeler at the Music Festival in her junior and senior years. EDWARD ELUS GRAHAM Light-hearted and full of fun, Eddie will always be associated with having a good time by his classmates. He entered our class in the eight! grade and since then has been popular at school. As a freshman, he joined the Sports Club and in his sophomore year received the Sportsmanship Award. Eddie has been helpful on committees for our Sophomore Hop, Junior, and Senior BalL Eddie General JUDITH ELLEN GUTHRIE Jude General Judy, quiet but very friendly, joined our class this year. Before coming to Wheeler she attended South Kingstown Junior and Senior High School in Wakefield, Rhode Island. At this school she was involved in such activities as: Christmas and Spring concerts. Voice and Theory Clubs, and the Volleyball Team of which she was captain. 21

MARY EUZABETH JOHNSON Mary Beth has spent all her twelve years of education with us. She has always excelled in the sports field and during her junior and senior years helped bring the Girls Basketball Team to many victories. She has been a participant of the Girls' Softball Team in her sophomore and junior years. Due to her agility, alertness and unusual skill she was awarded the Outstanding Player award as a junior. Mary Beth has also been an honor student and was a member of the National Honor Society in her sophomore and junior years. During her years at Wheeler she has been found at most of the school affairs and has participated in several class activities. In her junior year she took an active part in our amusing Christmas play. Linda was secretary of the Future Homemakers of America Club in her sophomore year and a participant of both the Sports and Guitar Clubs in her freshman year.
