Connie attended the Mystic and Ledyard schools before joining our class six years ago. Lively, talkative and full of fun, clearly depict Con's well-liked nature. Her pleasing disposition and cheerful outlook on life have won her many friends here at Wheeler. She was an atten dant of the Queen's Court for the Junior Prom. She was also a valued worker of the Decorating Committee for this memorable evening. Her nose for news has been of great assistance to the Wheeler-ite staff, for which she has been a reporter during the ninth, tenth, and twelfth grades. CONSTANCE NELLIE BEAUCHAMP Con College KARLEEN LEE BERNTSEN Buckie College Karlene, who joined our class 4 years ago, attended Clark Lane Junior High School in Waterford, Connecticut. Her effervescent personality and helpful attitude have won her many friends here at Wheeler. The quality of dependability is clearly shown through her assistance in preparing for our various activities. Leadership, service, character, and honor roll grades made it possible for her to be chosen as a member of The N ational Honor Society in her sophomore year. 17

ROBERT MARTIN DEMULUNG Bob has spent the last three years of his high school education at Wheeler. Previous to this he attended Fitch Junior High School in Groton, Connecticut. Although he appears to be quiet, he is really quite likeable and congenial. As his classmates we can always expect to hear a low murmuring from him which, in reality, is some type of witty comment. His main interests are cars and fishing. We are sure that his ability to get along with others will assure him of happiness in the future. 'Bob General JOSEPH RANDALL DOUCETTE Dark eyes and curly brown hair are two of Randy's distinct features. During his seven years at Wheeler he has made many friends due to his friendliness and ability to be himself. As a junior, he served on the Junior Prom Decorating Committee and this year he took an active part in the annual Magazine Drive.
