JOHN L. KENYON. Ill MATH - SCIENCE Mr. Kenyon has been a member of the Wheeler High School faculty for eleven years. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with B.S. and M.S. degrees. Mr. Kenyon has always managed a warm smile and a friendly hello” along with many services, so generously offered to our class. GAIL E. MAIN ENGLISH Another new faculty member is Miss Main who received a B.S. degree in English and Social Science from Central Connecticut State College. She is also a graduate of Wheeler High and returned here for her first year of teaching. RUTH B. PROSSER BUSINESS EDUCATION Union College in Kentucky is the Alma Mater of Mrs. Prosser from which she received a B.S. degree in Business Education. She has been a teacher at Wheeler for nine years and for the past six years has been director of the girls' chorus. 12

JO ANN GAINOR ENGUSH Mount Mary College in Hooksett, New Hampshire, prepared Miss Gainor for us. She was graduated with a B. A. degree in English. She is proving to be an added asset to the teaching staff at Wheeler. BRUCE G. FORBES CHEMISTRY - BIOLOGY - EARTH SCIENCE Mr. Forbes is a graduate of the University of Iowa which awarded him with a B. S. degree. He has also had one year of graduate work at the University of Rhode Island. In the future our class will look back with fond memories to his warm sense of humor, understanding, and the many hours of service devoted to our class. GUIDANCE COUNSELOR -PROBLEMS OF DEMOCRACY Miss Kenney, a graduate of Gordon College in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts, is Wheeler High's guidance counselor. DANIEL C. SCHOFIELD SOCIAL STUDIES Mr. Schofield is a graduate of the University of Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a B.S. degree in Social Studies and English. His constant smile, fine sense of humor, common forgetfulness, and interest in our class are all things for which we will remember this well-liked teacher. MARY S. STRONG ENGLISH - FRENCH Mrs. Strong received an A.B. degree from the University of Rhode Island. She also studied at Sorbonne University in France for two years and is presently doing graduate work at U.R.I. for an M. A. degree in English. Her understanding and friendly mannerisms have contributed much to Wheeler. VIRGINIA G. WESTCOTT PHYSICAL EDUCATION Mrs. Westcott graduated from Bridge-water State Teacher’s College in Massachusetts with a B.S. degree in Education. She is now a part-time girls' physical education teacher and is well-known for her actions of tolerance and friendship towards us all. 13
