SYLVESTER MORRONE English - Reading - Math Another new faculty member is Mr. Morrone who received an A.B. degree from Providence College and an M.A. degree from Columbia University. Mr. Morrone is a hardened veteran on the study hall battlefield. When he takes his command beside the piano, well-armed with detention slips, he quickly causes the students to surrender and succumb to quiet studying. RUTH B. PROSSER Business Education Mrs. Prosser was graduated from Union College where she received a B.S. degree. She has been a teacher at Wheeler for seven years and has been an indispensable member of the Business Department. They said it couldn’t be done, but Mrs. Prosser did it, by teaching three classes at the same time in the same room.

 c GEORGE HANCHETTE Physical Education Mr. Hanchette became our coach this year after being graduated from Southern Connecticut State College with a B.S. degree in physical education. Usually about one half hour after basketball practice starts, Mr. Hanchette ceases to run along with the boys, retreats to the bench, and occupies himself by giving the order to Hustle! rather than by trying to set the example. JOHN L. KENYON Science - Math - Physics Mr. Kenyon has been a member of the Wheeler High School faculty for nine years. He was graduated from the University of Rhode Island with B.S. and M. S. degrees. Day after day you can see him in the gym practicing his hook and set shots, in the hope that a talent scout from the Celtics will pop in and make him an offer; but in the meantime, he still lowers himself annually to give the faculty team a

SANDRA M. RICE English Bridgewater State Teachers College, Bridgewater, Massachusetts prepared Miss Rice for us. This is her second year teaching English in the Junior High. Miss Rice was responsible for establishing girls' sports in our school. Often after school, the shrill blast from a whistle turns the attention of those in the gym to Coach Rice standing in the middle of the gym shooing the boys off the floor so that the girls can practice.
