Our four years at Wheeler High School are among our most memorable. In this short time we have found many new friends and acquired new accomplishments. In order to make it easier for us to recall our four years of study, we shall now present the highlights to you: We started our freshman year at full speed with Mr. Fabian as class supervisor. We elected as class officers Arthur Holman, president; Ruby West, secretary; and treasurer, Audrey Main. The events of the year were a highly successful movie and an Alumni Dance. The auditorium was beautifully decorated with revolving mirrors and colored flood lights; invitations were sent to all the graduates of Wheeler, since its very beginning. When we were sophomores, Mr. Spilecki was our class advisor, with Audrey Main, president; Freddie Roberts, vice president; Judy Stewart, secretary; Judy Bliven, Washington Club Treasurer. The event of the year for most of us was the Sophomore Hop; the theme. Winter Wonderland Prom, was carried out in white. During our junior year, Miss Weir was our advisor, with Audrey Main, president; Arthur Holman, vice president; Judy Stewart, secretary; Judy Bliven, Washington Club Treasurer. The big event of the year was the Junior Prom, Carousel . Sally Brown was our Queen with Judy Stewart, Audrey Main, Ruby West, her Court; Judy Bliven was unable to attend. The auditorium was decorated as a large tent in blue and white streamers. After three years of waiting, we, the Class of 1957 emerged as seniors. Our class supervisor was Mr. Gizzarelli, with Audrey Main, president; Arthur Holman, vice president; Judy Stewart, secretary; Judy Bliven, Washington Club Treasurer. The class really showed what they could do for our Washington Club treasury. We sponsored a series of movies, dances, paper drives, card sales, food sales, and sold refreshments at home basketball games. Our yearbook, The Lion's Tale , proved to be a great success, with Mrs. Whelan as the advisor. We never thought we'd make it but we finally embarked on our long awaited trip to Washington. And speaking of dreams that come true, graduation for the eleven members of the senior class of 1957, was here at last. Our Wheeler High School careers are now written and locked in the pages of its history. The future is before us. We, the Class of 1957 shall proceed along our destined paths. 11
