Third Row: Jack Gagne, Donald Tennant, Charles Roberts, Ronald Stedman, Mr. Blanchard. The Student Council held its first meeting on September ll|., 1953. The elections of efficers was held. They are: After the election of officers it was voted to have a dance on October 2. At the next meeting it was decided to have a Christman Party in the afternoon. We were to exchange gifts, then have a movie and dancing. On January 8, the Student Council met and Mr. Blanchard announced that the book covers had arrived. Each member was given 25 covers to sell at 10 cents a piece. They went like hot cakes. March 9, the Council met and Mr. Blanchard announced that the sports injury fund was to go into the activity fund. He also said that on March 31, five members of the Student Council were to go to Storrs College for a meeting of Student Council members from various schools. The motion was made and seconded to join the association for $1.50. Five members were voted to go. They are: Cecile Taylor, Jack Gagne, Donald Tennant, Marilyn Main and Sally Brown.
